Falcon Lions Go Hog Wild

Falcon Lions Go Hog Wild at Falcon Days
Falcon Lions at Falcon Days 2007

The Falcon Lions were the talk of Falcon Days on June 9.  The day started with club members preparing an excellent pancake breakfast.  But we topped that when our members "exhumed" the roasted pig from the deep pit.  A crowd gathered to watch as Lions removed the roasted pig from the deep pit.  It became a media event when photographers from the Ranchland News and The New Falcon Herald appeared on the scene seeking the perfect photo op.

President Joe describes it best inthe following e-mail message to our members.   "I am bursting with pride and pleasure for our outstanding organization and for our fund raising and membership drive events that we held at Falcon Days on Saturday, June 9, 2007.   What a grand experience for us as a club and for our community!  Between the aroma of bacon for breakfast and our pork for lunch and afternoon, the Falcon Lions Club controlled the smell throughout the area.  Everyone seemed to know where we were located, a large number asked questions about our organization and Lions plus we passed out quite a few applications for membership.  I believe our visibility to the community ranked higher than most of the vendors because of our location, our large contingent of members with Lions Club vests, our large banners and of course the OVERWHELMING PLEASANT AROMA."   Lion President Joe
